Key Responsibilities
- Transport Materials: Safely and efficiently transport materials such as sand, gravel, and other aggregates to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate heavy and tractor-trailer trucks with a high focus on safety and compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring secure and balanced loads for safe transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed, including delivery notes, mileage logs, and hours of service.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and site personnel.
* Compliance:* Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
- Route Planning: Plan routes effectively to optimize time, fuel efficiency, and to meet delivery schedules.
- Emergency Handling: Respond to unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or mechanical issues, with a calm and problem-solving attitude.
Qualifications: - Valid CDL License: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record. - Experience: Previous experience in heavy and tractor-trailer truck driving with sand and Pneumatic Trailers - Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices. - Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
