Job Summary: The Production Scheduler plays a key role in managing the daily operations schedule for the paint line departments, as well as ordering paint and chemicals to ensure on-time delivery, productivity, and quality. Responsibilities include developing daily production schedules, completing reports and system updates, and providing input on paint utilization and ordering requirements, with a focus on optimizing scheduling efficiency and paint consumption/mileage. This role also involves expanding knowledge both within and outside the department, while collaborating with Supervisors/ leadership team to track progress, allocate resources, and resolve scheduling conflicts. Proficient in planning and scheduling methodologies and tools is essential for success in this position.

Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Understanding Paint process with Paint experience of 3+ years is preferred.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Associate’s degree - Major(s): business administration, engineering, information technology, supply chain or related field of study.
Strong Oracle skills.
Strong As400 skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a production scheduler preferred
What you will be doing
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Prepare plans and schedules to support complex operational needs.
Coordinate with the Paint department and cross-functional team members to align schedules with production requirements.
Order and manage paint and chemical inventory to ensure adequate supply levels, supporting production demands and meeting customer delivery requirements.
Complete daily reporting on paint conditions, resource planning, staffing, late orders, and system health, ensuring order routers are accurately updated.
Provide feedback to leadership on staffing levels and material availability to help prioritize work effectively.
Schedule orders to meet process start dates and support On-Time Delivery goals, ensuring alignment across all schedules on daily priorities and staffing plans.
Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of production targets.
Communicate delays to leadership for review and proactively manage scheduling conflicts.
Keep stakeholders informed of schedule changes and utilize scheduling tools to track performance, timeliness, and resource allocation.
Prepare regular reports on schedule adherence and performance for management.
Support the development and implementation of scheduling and project management best practices.
