Jacobs Electrical Engineering Senior Supervisor in Gainesville, Florida

Work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities: Management responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, and team development. Supervise a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Set team priorities to ensure departmental plans and priorities are met. Provide input on resource planning for current and future work. Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and clients. Be accountable for the billability and performance of the electrical and instrumentation team. Electrical engineer supporting design and construction administration services working in a lead role or under a licensed electrical engineer to deliver construction documents and reviewing contractor submittals for electrical equipment and components. Utilize electrical design software including Revit, MicroStation, SKM short circuit analysis and AGI lighting design software.

This position supervises the work of other employees - Electrical Engineers, I&C, Designer - CAD Designers.

TRAVEL: 10% domestic travel to client design meetings, field investigation, substantial completion inspections.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 years of work experience in the job offered or related Electrical Engineer Occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Electrical discipline for the water and wastewater industry. NFPA 820, NFPA 70 and, water and wastewater standards pertaining to the electrical discipline. Florida administrative code chapter 62 section 600s. 13,000v, 4160v and 480v power system design for municipal water and wastewater loads. Lighting design for hazardous areas within wastewater treatment plants. SKM’s dapper, captor, arc flash evaluation and transient motor starting modules for water and wastewater treatment industries. Full radiosity calculations in 3d model within AGI32.
