The Maples Assisted Living Home Health/Personal Care Aide in Fulton, New York
Shifts 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Job Title: Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide
Involves resident/family in care decisions: Allows residents to maintain control; involves and encourages self determination and independence. Demonstrates knowledge of expected vital signs (HHA only). Recognizes and reports any abuse or neglect potential. Assist with eating, care of teeth, grooming, bathing, restroom, dressing, walking, as required within Service Plan. Assist therapist, as needed with rehabilitation services as requested. Will NOT perform the following activities: Foley catheter irrigations, sterile dressing changes, enemas, or application of heat in any form. Ensures 12 hours of in service education completed annually. Assists with the self-administration of medications and follows medication rights and reduces the potential for medication error (Trained as med tech only) Maintains First Aid Certification. Completes annual education requirements. Maintains resident confidentiality at all times. Completes education/in-services in a timely fashion. Monthly and annually and as requested. Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
