PCSI is looking for an Accounting Clerk III at FT. SILL, OK. An Accounting Clerk III compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties as assigned. Examine and verify data (CLINs, cost categories, and other codes from automated systems, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness. This position will report to the Finance Manager and is based at FT. Sill, OK. Typical work hours will be 0730-1600 Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do as Accounting Clerk III:

  • Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties as assigned:

  • Examine and verify data (CLINs, cost categories, and other codes from automated systems, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Compile invoicing information and ensure all required documents are accounted for and correct on a daily basis.

  • Balance and reconcile between GFEBS and Excel documents to report data; verify internal consistency and mathematical accuracy of all documents and reports.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Maintain a wide variety of records, to include emails and other related correspondence (stored both manually and electronically).

  • Maintain up to date status of monthly progress and have information available to answer questions, discuss in meetings, etc.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or GED. Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.

  • Requires knowledge of and operation of windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel (advanced knowledge), and related applications.

  • Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of terminology, codes, and processes used in an automated accounting system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • This is primarily a sedentary position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less.

  • Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.

  • Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc.) and a personal computer.

  • Hearing and speech sufficient to verbally communicate in person and on the telephone.

  • Mobility to frequently alternate between sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to learn and retain processes/procedures that apply to daily/weekly/monthly routines and requirements

  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
