$20K Sign on Bonus for this Full Time position
Performs diagnostic studies on a variety of gamma cameras and computer systems.
Operates equipment without assistance; exercises independent judgment, performing procedures of high quality and with a high degree of proficiency and technical skills.
Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
Equipment is cleaned daily and meets infection control standards.
Maintains accurate patient records and charges.
Requests assistance in complex situations
Uses lead syringe shields for all doses.
Prepares radiopharmaceuticals behind proper shielding device.
Properly labels and stores radiopharmaceuticals.
Turns on all ventilation systems required by law for ventilation studies
Records proper information for each film produced.
Patient records are checked for special care and handled appropriately; modifies procedure to accommodate patient condition without compromising protocols; documents all reasons for alternative methods used.
Records all clinical information pertinent to procedure on appropriate information sheet. Pertinent information regarding the patient is communicated to nursing and/or the attending physician; places proper stickers on the patient s chart to notify the nursing floor of study status in Nuclear Medicine.
Checks patient prescription before beginning test.
Minimum Qualifications
Florida CRT license is required.
ARRT or NMTCB is required.
BLS certification is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
