TAD PGS, Inc. HVAC Technician in Ft. Hood, Texas
We have an outstanding Contract position for anHVAC Technicianto join a leading Company located in the Ft. Hood, TX surrounding area.
HVAC Technicians install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and building automation systems, focusing on service, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Key responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical/electrical faults, programming control software, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Required qualifications typically include an associate degree or vocational training, 3+ years of experience, and strong IT/controls knowledge .
Responsibilities :
System Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems.
Controls/Automation: Program, configure, and commission building control systems, including software installation.
Service Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on chillers, compressors, and electrical components.
Customer Service: Act as a trusted advisor, providing on-site support, training customers, and recommending system upgrade s.
Documentation: Complete service reports, expense reports, and "as-built" documentation for changes.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and ensure compliance, including managing subcontractors.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
A four-year vocational school program or an Associate degree in HVAC, electronics, or computer technology.
Minimum 3 years of industry experience or 2+ years in HVAC mechanical/electronic systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with HVAC controls software.
Ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
