Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using computers.

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs with cart assistance.

  • Adaptability to changes within a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to complete repetitive work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 5-7 years of experience required.

  • Experience in packing, shipping, and receiving.

Work Environment

The warehouse worker position requires availability from Monday to Friday, starting at 7 AM and ending at 6:30 PM, with a minimum of one night shift per week from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. A detailed schedule will be provided upon onboarding. The work involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs with assistance, and performing repetitive tasks.

This is a Contract position based out of Frisco, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
