Development Resource Group, Inc. Sr. Quality Engineer in Fridley, Minnesota

Job Duties

The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, processes, and protocols that ensure product reliability and compliance. This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to support consistent product quality from incoming materials through final production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and protocols for materials, components, and finished products.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and effectively implemented.

• Design and execute inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to verify the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

• Specify or design inspection and testing equipment, tools, and mechanisms.

• Conduct quality assurance tests and utilize statistical analysis to assess defects, identify root causes, determine cost impact, and assign accountability.

• Ensure all corrective and preventive actions meet reliability expectations and are fully documented in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.

• Support or specialize in areas such as incoming material inspection, production quality control, product evaluation, reliability performance, inventory control, or R&D quality processes.

• Lead or participate in projects focused on quality improvement, process optimization, and system enhancements.

• Provide coaching, training, and guidance to junior staff or project team members, as applicable.

Minimum Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Minimum Experience Required

• Advanced knowledge of quality systems, product evaluation, and process control.

• Practical experience with project management is a plus.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
