Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will ensure continuous operations by maintaining facilities, machinery, and equipment, while overseeing a team of technicians and assisting with new project planning and implementation.
Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate daily work of the maintenance team.
Establish and maintain parts inventory with the Parts Manager.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
Inspect, evaluate, and service a range of equipment including engines, pumps, and control systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Clean and service equipment, machinery, and other assets.
Repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged equipment parts.
Utilize welding and cutting equipment for repairs and modifications.
Handle plumbing repairs and installations.
Maintain and repair HVAC systems.
Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated systems.
Read, interpret, and create technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Troubleshoot complex equipment problems and perform emergency repairs.
Install and repair air compressors.
Maintain knowledge of water treatment systems and processes.
Develop, review, and archive maintenance and repair procedures.
Maintain accurate records of job plans and materials used.
Review equipment records for condition updates and repair planning.
Confer with staff to address equipment problems and suggest improvements.
Perform and oversee confined space entry (CSE) and Lockout Tag-out (LOTO).
Provide input on staff performance evaluations.
Observe safety procedures and work according to applicable codes.
Lead training and safety sessions.
Provide technical assistance and train staff in safe work procedures.
Essential Skills
5+ years of industrial equipment troubleshooting experience.
3+ years of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
2+ years of leadership and team development experience.
3+ years of experience with MIG/TIG/Stick welding and fabrication.
2+ years of experience with VFD installation and programming.
3+ years of experience with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
Experience in industrial maintenance required.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
Experience in welding and metal fabrication.
Basic plumbing skills for industrial applications.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, air compressors, and water treatment systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Highly organized and able to handle physical demands of the job.
Fluent in English and able to wear required PPE.

Work Environment
Work across three plant facilities with varying climates, requiring appropriate attire. Expect hands-on work, occasional confined space entry, and working at heights. The schedule is typically 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on workload. Supervise a team of three technicians in a collaborative, low-drama environment. Steel-toed boots and industrial work attire are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $70720.00/yr.

Overtime is consistently available when justified by workload. OT is paid according to standard company policy.
