Aerotek Electrical Maintenance Technician in Fremont, Ohio
Electrical Maintenance Technician $34 an hour
This role focuses on repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical machinery and systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, support equipment installations and retrofits, and ensure safe and reliable operation of production equipment, including robots and injection molding machines. The position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with 480V three-phase power, and PLC troubleshooting, with occasional support on mechanical tasks.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain all electrical machinery, equipment, and systems in the manufacturing facility, while assisting with mechanical repairs as needed.
Complete and accurately document all preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
Assist with special projects, including installation of new equipment, equipment retrofits, and upgrades to existing systems.
Troubleshoot and repair tooling, casting machines, casting molds, and injection molding machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Perform 480V three-phase power troubleshooting and repairs safely and in compliance with electrical standards and facility procedures.
Troubleshoot PLCs, including diagnosing issues and performing basic program modifications as required to restore equipment functionality.
Diagnose and repair robotic equipment as needed to support automated production processes.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting, tear downs, rebuilds, repairs, and installations.
Perform tear downs, rebuilds, repairs, and installation of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper operation and alignment after maintenance activities.
Work collaboratively with one other technician and a lead on shift to prioritize work orders and respond to equipment issues in a timely manner.
Respond to equipment breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Help train and mentor newer maintenance technicians, sharing knowledge of equipment, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout, and respiratory protection requirements.
Participate in on-call rotations as required, responding to after-hours equipment issues in accordance with on-call policies.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
