LaGrange Products, Inc. Weld Technician in Fremont, Indiana
FUNCTIONAL ROLE:
The basic function of the Welding Technician is to ensure that the welding procedures, equipment, and operators meet those specifications set by LaGrange Products, Inc. and ASME code.
A second function is to continually develop LPI welders to continually improve welding quality, throughput, end operator trouble shooting capabilities
A third function is to keep abreast of current and future trends in welding technology and to work with production to develop better methods of fabrication.

AUTHORITY AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Welding Technician is accountable to the Process Control and reports directly to the Process Control.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and document WPS's, WPQ's, PQR's.
Meet with Ops. Mgr. for weekly welding evaluation, schedule, and plans.
Operator training and qualification.
Weld experiments.
Addressing daily welding issues.
Operator qualification monitoring and development.
Verbal and written progress reports to Process Control.
Maintaining welder qualification records.
Working with managers and supervisors as directed by Process Control.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary by the Process Control.

This position is responsible for assuring that the welding requirements of LaGrange Products, Inc. are implemented and maintained.
The Welding Technician is responsible to the Process Control.
In the absence of the Welding Technician, the Process Control is responsible for the execution of the functions listed above.
