Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Job Description

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for following procedures, instructions, and sequences of operations in unpacking, preparing, and assembling components. The role involves moving materials between production, warehouse, and other areas, as well as performing product assembly operations on complex components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Unpack and package production materials, moving materials between various areas within the facility.

  • Assemble complex components, including integration of computer parts into a chassis on an assembly line.

  • Utilize small hand tools or power screwdrivers to install brackets, components, and labels on products.

  • Install rails to elevation based on rack specifications and scan labels accordingly.

  • Identify, label, and cable racks and server components using a cable labeling machine.

  • Conduct product and quality process inspections, document results, and input data into a quality database.

  • Perform daily audits of assigned areas, verifying tools for proper torque and calibrations.

  • Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.

  • Complete any additional assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, assembly, and electronic assembly.

  • Ability to interpret schematics and conduct inspections.

  • Experience in assembly and build of large servers following instructions.

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

  • Skills in wiring and labeling.

  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and move up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work on ladders.

  • Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong manual dexterity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
