Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Description

The Assembly Operator manufactures, assembles, and processes medical device components and products by following detailed drawings, specifications, and procedures. This role uses light tools and equipment to work with small parts, performs precise visual inspections, and operates equipment that handles chemicals in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble medical device components and products according to established drawings, specifications, and written procedures.

  • Operate light tools, hand tools, and production equipment safely and accurately to complete assembly and processing tasks.

  • Inspect small metal parts for quality and defects using a magnifying glass and microscope for several hours per day, ensuring all components meet quality standards.

  • Perform shape-setting operations by placing parts onto mandrel fixtures and other specialized fixtures as required by the process.

  • Run production equipment that handles chemicals, following all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

  • Use measurement tools and devices as required by the process to verify dimensions and tolerances of components.

  • Accurately enter production and inspection data into systems or forms to maintain complete and traceable records.

  • Work on an assembly line and in a manufacturing environment to support production targets and schedules.

  • Handle and lift materials and components weighing approximately 10–15 pounds on a repetitive basis.

  • Follow clean room protocols and light gowning requirements when working in controlled environments.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and comply with all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Communicate effectively in English to understand instructions, document work, and collaborate with team members.

Shift .

  • Day shift: 5am-1:30pm (Monday through Friday)

  • Graveyard shift-9:45pm-6:15am (Sunday through Thursday)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.15/hr.
