Job Title: Heavy Assembler

Job Description

The Heavy Assembler plays a vital role in supporting production by assembling, inspecting, and packaging plumbing and water-management components. This position involves working on the manufacturing floor, adhering to standardized work instructions to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble metal or plastic components using hand tools, fixtures, or small equipment according to work instructions, prints, or visual aids.

  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

  • Package finished products for shipment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

  • Follow safety, quality, and production standards.

  • Work as part of a team-based manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • General production and warehouse production experience.

  • Ability to pick orders and mechanical aptitude.

  • Basic ability to read work instructions.

  • Experience in production, general labor, assembly, machine operation, and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required (entry-level friendly).

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing/assembly line environment. The 1st shift operates from 7am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, while the 2nd shift runs from 4:30pm-3:00am Monday-Thursday, with optional overtime on Friday for 5 hours. A shift differential of $1.75 is offered for the 2nd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freeport, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
