Powering People Through Innovation & Reliability CBTC Engineering Manager Transportation Systems Division Are you a strategic engineering leader who thrives in complex, high-stakes technical environments? Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a CBTC Engineering Manager to lead our Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) department, strengthen customer relationships with major transit authorities, and drive the growth and operational excellence of our CBTC business. In this role, you will guide engineering, program management, and field operations while shaping the strategy that supports MEPPIs long-term success in the transportation market. What Youll Do: Leadership & Department Management Lead, manage, and develop the CBTC department to achieve divisional goals related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction. Oversee engineering, program management, field service, subcontractor management, purchasing, logistics, and site operations for CBTC projects. Provide leadership that fosters positive employee relations, strong collaboration, and continuous improvement. Strategic Planning & Business Growth Collaborate with MELCO and MEPPI senior management to define CBTC strategy, goals, and long-term direction. Lead efforts to grow the CBTC business with support from cross-functional leaders. Prepare and present business plans for senior management approval, including organizational policies and operational strategies. Customer Engagement & Industry Partnership Build and maintain strong relationships with Transit Authorities in coordination with Sales and Program Management. Participate in customer meetings before, during, and after contract signing to support successful project execution. Collect and report market intelligence on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs. Approve cost estimates for sales proposals and assist MELCO in understanding customer requirements, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Operational & Financial Oversight Work closely with MELCO Itami engineering teams to ensure customer commitments are met. Review activity reports and financial statements to assess progress toward goals and adjust plans as needed. Manage departmental budgets, facilities, and resources to ensure efficient operations.
