NJ Employer Carpenters Helper in Freedom, New York
Anticipated period of employment: 03/29/2026 to 12/18/2026
One month of livestock confinement construction required. This H-2A job order contains work duties outside of the NY definitions of agriculture, therefore workers will be paid overtime (OT) at 40 hours in the work week.
On farms, as carpenter-helpers, assist carpenters by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. Duties include cleaning work areas, machines, or equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site. Fasten components together with glue, clamps, screws, bolts, nuts, pegs, or nails and install hardware. Select tools, equipment or materials from storage and transport items to work site. Drill holes and cut timbers, lumber or paneling to specified dimensions. Position and hold lumber or paneling in place for fastening or cutting. Align, straighten, plumb or square forms for installation. Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods or other equipment to aid in tie layout and establishing reference points and lines.
