Description We are looking for a dedicated Tax Manager to join our growing team in Fredericksburg, Texas. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings.
• Provide expert tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Manage client relationships by delivering tailored advice and maintaining an attentive and approachable demeanor.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, incorporating new knowledge into client strategies.
• Utilize and evaluate tax software systems, including Drake and Lacerte, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Support the firm's growth goals by identifying opportunities for business development and client retention.
• Work with trusts and estates, as well as family office clients, to address their unique tax needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive financial solutions for clients.
• Ensure accurate and timely annual income tax provisions and compliance reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in tax management, preferably within a public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns, entity formation, and annual income tax provisions.
• Proficiency in tax software systems such as Drake, Lacerte, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with trusts, estates, and family office tax matters is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain client relationships.
• Highly autonomous with strong decision-making and judgment capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
• Detail-oriented approach with significant experience and a confident presence.
