Material Handler – 2nd Shift
Position Overview
The Material Handler – 2nd Shift is an essential contributor to our Frederick, MD distribution operations. In this role, you will support key functions related to shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment for finished goods, materials, supplies, and equipment. You will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while maintaining high-quality service to our internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process materials and finished goods in alignment with established procedures and customer expectations.
Receive and inspect incoming materials daily, confirming quality, type, and quantity against documentation.
Operate distribution and material-handling equipment safely, including working across multiple temperature-controlled environments (ambient, cold-room, and freezer-room).
Complete all required training and follow site Distribution standards, including Control of Documents, Quality Policy, and compliance guidelines .
Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and contribute to a smooth, efficient workflow.
Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of related experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or distribution.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.
Basic computer proficiency, including navigating ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, and shipping platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in logistics within a life sciences or regulated environment.
Strong ability to follow established policies, procedures, and work instructions with consistency and independence.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work in a dynamic warehouse environment, moving between ambient, cold-room, and freezer-room temperatures.
Engage in frequent, repetitive physical tasks—including walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs continuously , and up to 50 lbs occasionally .
Exposure to a moderate to high noise level during daily operations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime, to meet business needs.
Occasional local travel may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $20.35/hr.
