Monday thru Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
GENERAL PURPOSE
Perform daily activities to ensure that production schedules are met and shipments to customers are completed on time, considering customer orders, current demand forecasts, and the availability of raw materials and production capacity. Work with production scheduling as well as purchasing and other manufacturing teams to ensure that production materials are available and adjust the schedule, with appropriate approval. Keep accurate records in appropriate systems or databases for planning/scheduling of finished product. Work daily with Customer Service to ensure service levels are met.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate production schedules to attain production objectives
Identify deviations from schedules and budgets, and take appropriate action
Provide support in forecasting costs, workload, and material requirements and in establishing inventory and production goals
Check the work schedule based on customer orders and the availability of raw materials and production capacity
Work with production planning, purchasing, production, shipping, and others to expedite product flow through operations
Communicate to customer service any shortages/problems with finished product prior to shipments
Oversee data (e.g., in SAP) in relations to bulk and packaging process orders
Perform master data maintenance including entry and validation of materials requirements and production planning metrics; reconcile production data
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports
Assist production scheduling planners to manage raw inventory
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
2 to 4 years of production, inventory, materials, or related experience
Knowledge of supply chain management preferred
Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems (e.g., Excel and SAP)
Knowledge of plant processes in relation to production processes for each line
Able to communicate with various levels of personnel to ensure customers’ needs and requirements are met
Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
Able to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities
Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
Able to complete basic arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions
Able to to conduct research into issues or situations
Must be able to read, write and speak English
