0 to <2 years of experience: $1,500
2 to <5 years of experience: $2,500
5+ years of experience: $3,500
General Purpose
Operate a straight truck, tractor-trailer, or double trailer to deliver products safely and on time to customers, warehouses, and distributors per route schedule. Provide outstanding customer service and maintain clear communication with supervisors and peers.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and safety policies
Deliver products per route schedule and customer expectations; follow designated routes unless directed otherwise
Report delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns
Load/unload products as required; may include stocking and ordering
Maintain positive customer relations and report issues to supervisor
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep vehicle clean
Complete all required paperwork, logs, and trip records accurately and daily
Conduct load inventory and document freight condition before departure
Attend driver workshops and training sessions
Use company-supported applications and systems properly
Represent DFA professionally at all times

Requirements
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years driving tractor-trailer, straight truck, or doubles within the last 5 years (preferred)
Must meet minimum age requirements , DFA Motor Vehicle Record standards, and all DOT requirements
Valid Class A CDL ; doubles endorsement may be required
Must have held a valid license or operator’s permit for the past 3 years
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
Proficient computer skills
Math skills for load calculations and accurate volume/weight recording
Effective verbal and written communication
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Problem-solving and proactive approach
Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and adapt to change
Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
Organizational and record-keeping skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
