Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and PLC issues. You will work with Omron and other brands for PLC troubleshooting, focusing on understanding rather than programming. Electrical troubleshooting involves working with 3-phase motors, switches, sensors, servo drives, and VFDs. Mechanical troubleshooting includes dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, motors, belts, and roller conveyors. Preventative maintenance is conducted monthly, shutting down the entire line for 4-5 days. On a daily basis, you will respond to calls and complete work orders, coordinating with production staff and the engineering team.
Responsibilities
Conduct electrical troubleshooting for 3-phase motors, switches, sensors, servo drives, and VFDs.
Perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, motors, belts, and roller conveyors.
Execute PLC troubleshooting with Omron and other brands.
Complete preventative maintenance monthly, requiring a 4-5 day shutdown of the machinery.
Respond to daily calls and complete work orders efficiently.
Collaborate with production staff and engineering team to ensure timely repairs.
Essential SkilOur Client
Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Mechanical troubleshooting, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience.
Self-motivation and effective communication skills.
Additional SkilOur Client & Qualifications
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Part ordering and inventory management experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting, which can be hot during the summertime. The current team of 5 technicians is expanding to 12 as new equipment is installed. The night shift runs for 12 hours from 8 pm to 8 am on a 2/2/3 schedule.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
