Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Maintenance Technician who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. In this role, you will be responsible for running preventative maintenance, repairing equipment, and leading a team while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse group to achieve shared goals.
Responsibilities
Report team activity and progress through visual management using tools such as weak point management, pareto charts, and other TPS tools.
Manage general practices for the maintenance team, including lock out/tag out procedures for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ensure cleanliness and organization through 5S conditions and address potential hazards with proper PPE.
Coordinate daily activities and assign preventative maintenance tasks to associates.
Coordinate trouble calls for machine downtime to ensure all equipment is repaired with the utmost quality.
Implement downtime prevention activities.
Ensure work order completion with a goal of no work order older than 25 days.
Coordinate daily activities to ensure the availability of parts and necessary supplies.
Retest equipment with associates and leadership to verify quality and performance.
Coordinate cross-shift repairs and transfer time-sensitive repair and improvement work to prevent production interruptions.
Assist in the development of associates in behavior and skillset.
Initiate, plan, execute, control, and report on team projects to achieve improvement goals.
Promote kaizen activities by continuously identifying and implementing improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environment.
Create a teamwork atmosphere through excellent communication and respect for people.
Manage daily operations including downtime countermeasure effectiveness, check sheet completion, work orders, and project schedules.
Escalate critical equipment issues or downtime events to ensure adequate resources are assigned.
Work unscheduled overtime to complete assigned jobs and meet production goals.
Essential Skills
Prior leadership experience in maintenance.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with 5S methodologies.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, control systems, and robotics.

Work Environment
This role is within an automotive manufacturing setting, focusing on the full assembly of forklifts. The position is available on the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, and the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $95680.00/yr.
