Electrical Foreman

Job Description

As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for adherence to company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment and other health, safety, and environmental procedures. You will lead and oversee electrical maintenance crews, assign daily work orders and tasks based on priority, and support scheduling and planning. Your role involves monitoring team performance and communicating any changes or deviations in processes. You will also audit completed jobs to ensure accuracy and complete documentation, provide hands-on support for various electrical systems, and maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, permit checks, and ensure compliance with the electrical safety plan.

  • Review and approve job plans, spare parts, and resource requirements.

  • Lead root cause analysis and develop permanent solutions for equipment reliability.

  • Recommend improvements to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns.

  • Ensure compliance with inventory and tool check-out processes.

  • Train technicians in new equipment, procedures, and best practices.

  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs.

  • Support the onboarding of new maintenance staff.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in preventive maintenance and hydraulics.

  • Ability to supervise and manage maintenance operations.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Experience with preventative/corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance software.

  • Troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Knowledge of CMMS and electrical systems.

  • Strong maintenance technician skills, including wiring and maintenance management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • An electrical license is preferred.

  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using test instruments.

  • Strong communication skills and reliability.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, subordinates, and management staff.

  • Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, identify problem areas, and take corrective action.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under high-pressure situations.

Work Environment

This position is performed in an office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment and is subject to hot and cold temperatures, wet and humid conditions, loud noises, moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock and vibration. This role may require working outside regular business hours and involves repetitive work in a fast-paced, highly productive environment. The position is for the 1st shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $103834.00 - $114816.00/yr.
