Your role and responsibilities
As a Technology Consultant specializing in IBM Expert Labs services for IBM's Storage Portfolio, you will provide world-class services for data and AI, hybrid cloud, and data resiliency solutions for clients based on IBM Storage systems and software. In this role, you will work with clients to deliver solutions that meet their specific needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Provide expert-level services to clients, focusing on data and AI, hybrid cloud, and data resiliency solutions using IBM Storage systems and software.
Collaborate with clients to design and implement storage solutions that meet their business requirements and leverage IBM's Storage Portfolio.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that address their specific pain points and goals.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of IBM Storage systems and software to deliver high-quality services and solutions to clients. When necessary and beneficial, involve colleagues from IBM Development, Product Management and other IBM Expert Labs areas to achieve optimal results.
Required technical and professional expertise
Familiarity with data and AI concepts, including data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence, as they relate to IBM Storage systems and software.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and Container technologies.
Understanding of Data Resiliency Principles: Familiarity with data resiliency concepts, including data protection, backup, and recovery.
Red Hat OpenShift is familiar to you, and you already have some experience working with it.
Ability to collaborate with clients to design and implement storage solutions that meet their business requirements and leverage IBM's Storage Portfolio.
You have at least basic knowledge of scripting (e.g. Python) and coding (e.g. Java) as well as IT automation.
Most of our projects are carried out remotely. However, there may be times when you need to visit clients on-site. Therefore, a willingness to travel within the DACH region is required.
Fluent English and German skills for communication with IBM Development and Support, as well as customers in non-German-speaking Switzerland.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Exposure to advanced Data and AI concepts, including data management, analytics, and AI, as they relate to IBM Storage systems and software.
Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and ability to design and implement storage solutions that integrate with these environments.
Experience in planning and implementation of data-protection solutions.
Experience with system health-checks and performance optimization of storage solutions to meet specific client needs.
Experience with and use of container technology (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, OCP, etc.).
