THE OPPORTUNITY
Title: Senior Business Development Manager - Enterprise Industrial Accounts (German speaking)
Location: Germany (Remote/hybrid with travel as required)
Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join our Commercial team in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for driving organic growth by exclusively acquiring new, large enterprise customers within the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Logistics sectors.
You will join the Global Records and Information Management Organization (GRO), a revenue-driving commercial team focused on developing solutions that enable global vertical industries to transform their businesses.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Drive New Logo Acquisition: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure net new enterprise clients within the defined priority sectors in Germany.
Strategic Engagement: Build deep, consultative relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders to truly understand their organizational objectives and pain points.
Solution Design & Sales: Lead the development and sale of tailored Information Management solutions, translating complex customer requirements into compelling value propositions.
Pipeline & Forecasting: Maintain a robust and accurate sales pipeline, driving opportunities through negotiation and RFP processes to consistently meet and exceed new business quota.
Industry Expertise: Act as a trusted industry expert to customers, providing insights into sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams (e.g., Solutions, Operations, Legal) to ensure seamless solution delivery and customer success.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Substantial Enterprise Sales Experience: A proven track record of acquiring new, large enterprise accounts ideally bringing experience selling into the Manufacturing, Automotive, or Logistics sectors.
Strategic Solution Selling Expertise: Proficiency in solution selling methodologies and the ability to build influential relationships with C-suite (Chief-level) customer stakeholders.
Bilingual Proficiency: Professional fluency in both German and English is essential for success in this regional role.
Collaborative Mindset: The ability to work effectively across internal teams, such as Solutions, Operations, and Legal, to ensure seamless delivery and customer success.
