CBRE Moves Adds & Changes Technician- Handyman in Framingham, Massachusetts

TheMoves, Adds & Changes (MAC) Technician supports the Space Planning team byperforming office and lab furniture moves, minor repairs, and workspaceadjustments across multiple locations. This role requires a hands-on,service-oriented individual who is detail-focused, reliable, and able tocommunicate effectively with internal teams and end users.
Thisis a mobile role between our Cambridge, Framingham and Waltham sites and willrequire some basic handyman skills and troubleshooting along with moving officefurniture.
Whatyou’ll do
Perform moves, adds, and changes of office and lab furniture, including desks, chairs, workstations, and related equipment
Clean, inspect, and perform minor repairs or adjustments to furniture to ensure proper use and appearance
Assist with furniture setup, reconfiguration, and support in laboratory environments
Respond to locker lockouts and assist with other locker-related issues (repairs, replacements, resets)
Support space planning initiatives by executing setup plans accurately and efficiently
Maintain attention to detail when following floor plans, work orders, and safety requirements
Communicate clearly with Space Planning, Facilities, and end users to resolve issues and complete requests
Identify and troubleshoot problems, escalating issues when needed
Travel between company locations as required (Waltham, Framingham, and Cambridge)
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Whatyou’ll need
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Willingness and ability to travel between Waltham, Framingham, and Cambridge locations as needed
Strong mechanical aptitude; must be handy and comfortable using basic tools
Ability to lift, move, and transport furniture and equipment safely
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Prior experience in facilities, moves, furniture installation, or similar hands-on roles preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and carrying items
Comfortable working in office and lab environments
Work Environment
This position works across multiple office and laboratory settings andrequires flexibility, adaptability, and a customer-service mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation hourly rate is about $33.65/hr with some potential flexibility based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
