Job Title: Laborer/Equipment Operator
Job Description
We are seeking skilled laborers with their 2A1C hoisting license to join our team. The work will be 60% labor and 40% operating on a day-to-day basis. We are based out of Worcester, MA but our projects range from Central MA to the Greater Boston area. This position revolves around building parks and playgrounds so site work and utility installation is a large part of the role. We are looking for skilled individuals with 5+ years of experience. This job will be prevailing wage.
Responsibilities
Source and calculate on-site bulk materials.
Forecast to ensure materials and equipment are available for the next project phase.
Operate all heavy equipment and verify grades.
Maintain onsite equipment properly.
Open and close project sites daily and conduct daily safety meetings.
Read blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
Communicate with subcontractors and project managers.
Advise and maintain project schedules.
Work under the direction of the Project Manager.
Ensure safety protocols are followed onsite.
Essential Skills
Experience in construction, general labor, and site work.
Proficient in heavy equipment operation.
Ability to lead crews of two or more.
Experience managing subcontractors.
Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Experience with excavators, dozers, and grading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 certification.
Valid Driver’s License.
DOT medical certificate.
3-5 years of experience with underground utility work.
3-5 years of experience with concrete flatwork.
3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as mid-size excavators, front loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
Hoisting License - Minimum 2A, 1C.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
