ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. CAD Drafter/Designer II in Framingham, Massachusetts
Location: Framingham, MA
Currently, we have an opportunity for a Distribution Drafter for electric utility design in our Framingham, MA office. This position will be working with our growing Power Distribution Engineering team. This role may require leading other distribution designers, oversight and QAQC of both simple and complex engineering projects, working directly with clients, and ensuring the client reputation of high quality is maintained.
Drafter Qualifiations:
• HS diploma and/or drafting certificate with 1+ years relevant experience drafting and detailing with AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation V7/V8/V8i. Coursework experience applies.
• Relevant experience is either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering
• Execution of distribution projects from kickoff through design approved
• Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation
• Ability to work Storm support for client
• 5-10% in field activities
Nice to haves
• Utility CAD experience (electric, telco, gas, fiber, cable, etc.)
• Plan and profile drawings
• Easements, petitions, traffic management plans, etc
• Experience with the NESC and/or CA GO95
• Customer interaction
• Process documentation
• Experience providing estimated costs, development of a BOM, calculating the CIAC
• Experience with design tools such as Pole Foreman, O-Calc, Spida-Calc
• Experience with Joint Use and Colocation projects
• Experience with rear to front lot conversion projects

Position Details:
- Pay Rate / Range:_$22-$27_
The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
