Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Framingham, Massachusetts
Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee critical financial operations at our office in Framingham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage and enhance accounting processes, ensure compliance with financial standards, and contribute to the preparation of accurate financial reports. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management, while ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
•Responsible for the monthly financial close process, including the review of intercompany transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Implement revenue recognition policies in alignment with ASC 606 standards across various revenue streams such as SaaS, consulting services, and product sales.
• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting schedules for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Generate accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements, working closely with tax advisors when necessary.
• Administer the lifecycle of commissions, ensuring proper capitalization and amortization in accordance with ASC 340-40, while maintaining necessary documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during audits, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance.
• Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams to meet UK statutory reporting requirements, including Companies House filings.
Requirements
• Proven experience managing month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and the ability to serve as a liaison for external auditors.
• Expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management functions.
• Comprehensive understanding of revenue recognition principles, particularly ASC 606.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed financial reports and schedules.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial data.
