Responsibilities
Deliver accurate, insightful, and data-driven technical peer reviews during the design process.
Familiarize with control panel fabrication processes and best practices for wiring.
Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
Lead and deploy teams to successfully complete multiple projects on time and with high precision.
Select industrial hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety components, sensors, relays, and circuit protection devices.
Maintain positive, professional relationships across all organizational levels.
Ensure compliance with NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms (primarily Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and other control software.
Communicate effectively, conveying both technical and non-technical information to large, cross-functional teams.
Support manufacturing operations, including BOM creation, engineering change notice (ECN) processes, and product release documentation.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming, AutoCAD Electrical, and controls engineering.
Experience in integration and engineering management.
In-depth understanding of NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory compliance.
Advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms and control software.
Effective communication skills for large, cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Controls or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Highly skilled with Rockwell Studio 5000.
Highly skilled with AutoCAD Electrical and/or E-Plan.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with approximately 30% travel involved. The work environment is supportive and encourages cross-functional teamwork and leadership development.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fostoria, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
