ManpowerGroup Fleet Support Engineer in Foster City, California
Our client, a leading innovator in vehicle development and fleet management, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting the Fleet Support team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $60-64/h
What's the Job?
Serve as the primary point of contact for Tier 2 escalations on Compute system issues including GPU, PSU, SSD, and networking.
Conduct comprehensive log reviews to identify hardware, software, tooling, and process failures on fleet vehicles.
Develop thorough troubleshooting guides for Tier 1 and Tier 2 escalations, enabling consistent and holistic diagnosis across all service depots.
Lead deep-dive investigations into novel failure modes using root cause analysis methodologies like 7-Step or 8D problem solving techniques.
Monitor fleet-wide telemetry to identify emerging trends in hardware degradation or firmware/software regression before they become critical failures.
What's Needed?
BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience and skill in determining the root cause of complex issues involving hardware, firmware, and software.
Deep understanding of computer architecture, GPUs, PCIe devices, SSDs, and network cards.
Experience with the Linux platform—debugging failures using command line tools, parsing kernel and system logs.
Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes/picoscopes, CANalyzer, and thermal cameras.
