ManpowerGroup Fleet Support Engineer in Foster City, California
Our client, a leading innovator in transportation technology, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting the operational uptime of our fleet, with a focus on Human Machine Interface (HMI) and passenger experience systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, collaboration, and meticulous documentation, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $65-$70 per hour
What's the Job?
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for real-time issues related to HMI systems, including passenger displays, audio/visual alerts, interior cameras, and cabin interaction modules.
Conduct root cause analysis through log review (Linux/Android logs) and electrical diagnostics to resolve complex hardware and software failures.
Lead trend monitoring efforts by analyzing fleet data to identify failure patterns and implement permanent corrective actions.
Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides to empower field technicians in resolving issues independently.
Perform hardware validation and functional testing for new HMI components and firmware updates, ensuring system reliability and performance.
What's Needed?
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or autonomous vehicle systems, focusing on infotainment, display technologies, or cockpit electronics.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience troubleshooting communication protocols such as LVDS, Ethernet, CAN, and LIN.
Familiarity with display technologies (LCD/OLED), touch controllers, and audio amplifiers.
Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts to diagnose wiring and component failures.
