Job Description

The Director, Global Compliance Systems and Analytics is a senior business leader within the Office of Ethics and Compliance, responsible for defining business needs, driving adoption, and ensuring sustained value from Gilead’s compliance-related systems and compliance data analytics capabilities. This role strengthens the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of the ethics and compliance program by ensuring systems and resulting analytics are fit-for-purpose , and compliance teams have reliable tools, data, and insights to execute core program activities.
The ideal candidate brings deep ethics and compliance domain expertise, strong systems and analytics acumen, and disciplined product ownership and change management skills, paired with an ability to build trust and drive adoption across a global compliance community. This role reports to the Vice President, Global Compliance Operations .
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the business vision and multi-year roadmap for compliance systems and analytics that support OEC priorities and core elements of a well-functioning compliance program.
Establish clear value and outcome measures for systems and analytics (e.g., user adoption, generation of actionable insights, data quality, inspection readiness, risk signal timeliness).
Serve as the primary point of accountability for prioritization, business requirements, and value realization across the compliance systems and analytics portfolio.
Maintain a keen understanding of evolving compliance obligations and operational needs, translating them into practical system and data capabilities.
Advance the company’s compliance analytics foundation, including KPI frameworks, dashboards, and recurring insights that support program oversight and leadership decision-making.
Support other stakeholders in maintaining core compliance metrics, dashboards, and other key compliance tools.
Lead efforts to strengthen data quality, data stewardship, and data documentation.
Partner with other colleagues and subject matter experts to develop actionable analytics that support monitoring, risk sensing, and operational management, ensuring outputs are clear, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Support periodic reviews and inquiries with timely, defensible data and narrative insights.
Partner with IT as the primary technology delivery and operations partner
Ensure clear decision rights, handoffs, and accountability across Compliance, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Security for changes affecting compliance systems and data.
Coordinate with Legal and Privacy stakeholders to ensure appropriate controls, access governance, retention expectations, and auditability requirements are reflected in business requirements and operating procedures.
Manage vendor relationships from the business perspective, including business requirements alignment, service performance, roadmap alignment, and value realization.
Oversee the systems and analytics budget, ensuring spend aligns to measurable compliance outcomes.
Drive alignment across regions and functions on shared standards, common metrics, and consistent system usage.
Minimum Education & Experience:
12 years of relevant compliance experience with a bachelor's degree in related field or 10 years of experience with a master's degree.

The salary range for this position is: $210,375.00 - $272,250.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
