What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer, Modeling & Simulation you will be responsible for integration and troubleshooting of Shared Simulation Software (SSS) products in hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop lab environments, driving development and deployment of real‑time simulation capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and integrate software for distributed, real‑time simulation systems.

  • Execute integration and testing of SSS software across hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop labs.

  • Apply simulation software engineering principles and technical concepts to reuse existing software and support digital transformation.

  • Collaborate within an Agile, DevSecOps team to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor in STEM discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of professional related experience

• Experience with software development in C++

• Experience with software design/development/test/build/release

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) / Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
