This job is a member of the Onboard Products team under the Customer Products group within the Customer Experience Organization.
This role plays a critical part in driving cross-departmental efforts across a variety of functional areas in pursuit of Customer Experience objectives. This role has broad exposure through collaboration with multiple stakeholders throughout the company on projects that impact over 100 million customers per year.

Supports the strategy, development, and implementation of the airline’s onboard hard products (aircraft seats and other cabin interior elements).
Understands a potential strategy’s relevant factors, synthesize information, and utilize multiple means to effectively communicate the results to stakeholders throughout and outside of the company
Leads and supports various aspects of American’s aircraft delivery and retrofit programs
Develops and leads hard product strategies, to include evaluating initiatives, identifying innovative opportunities across the program, incorporating frontline feedback into onboard programs, and managing the budget and funding requests
Develops customer research strategies and monitor the competitive landscape and trends to ensure American is positioned for success
Leads project management for the product development and implementation process
Creates and maintains team resource documents, including the American and competitor database, to support ad hoc competitive analysis
Supports the team manager and performs some leadership duties when manager is absent or out of office
Collaborates closely with multiple stakeholders, including Flight Service, Tech Ops, Finance, Engineering, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Fleet Planning, and the broader commercial organization
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Transportation, Operations, or other related disciplines or equivalent experience/training
3 years related work experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or other related advanced degree
Experience leading cross-functional teams and ability to influence without authority
Prior airline, commercial, and/or customer-facing experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Excellent professional writing and communication skills (in-person and online)
Track record of taking ownership and driving results
Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize well in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Ability to quickly understand topics and drive conversations forward
Strong analytical skills
Superior skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
