BNSF Railway Manager Data Engineering in Fort Worth, Texas
Use Power BI data-analytics software to import, clean, analyze, and display complex data sets and data modeling in Excel to find correlations, discrepancies, and trends that influence railroad-track maintenance and planning processes. Use Python, SQL, and MS Azure data-analysis programming languages to analyze and manage railroad engineering data quality. Apply data analytics and railroad safety, track-inspection, and other operating requirements to assess new technologies for track-inspection and maintenance processes and interface with the technology division to align potential implementation with current and future business needs. Perform in-depth analysis of track-geometry data and maintenance history to identify and understand correlations. Support technology development such as Track Health Optical Recognition and Onboard Defect Identification and Notification system. Develop presentations and reports on railroad-track data and innovative technologies for engineering leadership.
Must have Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Civil Engineering, or related field plus one year of experience with using data-analytics programming languages such as Python, SQL, or MS Azure to analyze railroad engineering data.
