This role is a key part of the Labor Relations Department, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant administration of contractual grievance processes. You’ll take ownership of coordinating meetings, tracking cases, and maintaining high‑quality grievance data while navigating new challenges in a constantly evolving industry.

What you'll do

• Support the Labor Relations organization through reporting, tracking, and administrative tasks in the areas of bargaining and grievance management, while building foundational skills to grow into a Labor Relations professional.

• Track grievance statuses, deadlines, and case progress.

• Maintain the arbitration calendar and manage the arbitrator panel.

• Assist in coordinating grievance meetings with union partners.

• Support arbitration preparation, case organization, and related documentation.

• Provide timely reporting and updates to Labor Relations leadership.

• Learn core concepts of current and historical represented workgroup contracts and Railway Labor Act principles, while developing an understanding of American Airlines’ operational groups.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• High School Diploma or relevant experience

• 1+ years of experience in Labor Relations, HR, legal support, or union environments

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field

• Experience with SharePoint or case-tracking systems

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work under deadlines

• Collaborative with team members and desire to contribute to the organizational goals

• Ability to gather data and share in a way that tells a story

• Strong problem-solving and research skills
