Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Electro-Machinist Division WCF. As a ELECTRO-MACHINIST TRAINING LEADER, you will be responsible for the development and presentation of general and specific craft training to Electro-Machinists and Electro-Machinist Trainees, in addition to the incumbent's journeyman duties. Responsibilities As a ELECTRO-MACHINIST TRAINING LEADER, you will: Provide equipment specific and generic maintenance craft technical training to Electro-Machine Shop journeymen and trainees. Develop and present the Electro-Machinist trainee program curriculum. Materials will be selected from commercially available craft training materials, electrical mechanical technical literature, and BEP production equipment documentation. Provide craft guidance and counseling to trainees on an as-needed basis. This guidance may occur in both the classroom and production environments. Prepare training materials using various media. Training will be presented via lecture, written materials, and visual media. The trainer must review various training materials, determine its BEP applicability, and compile the material into a comprehensive training program. I have experience providing craft training in the electrical/electronic or mechanical/machinist trades, developed course material and presented it to students, and have successfully completed repair on BEP equipment. Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to meet the same physical requirements of an Electro-Machinist. (EM's frequently handle objects weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally carry objects weighing over 45 pounds for considerable distances. EMs are required to push, pull, reach, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, bend and work in cramped positions over and under machinery of all types for sustained periods. Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously. Vision requirements are depth perception, near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4, far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other, specific visual requirement is J-2. Aid permitted for hearing.) The employee must be able to pick up objects weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally carry object weighing 45 pounds for considerable distances.
