Actalent Reliability Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Title: Reliability EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Project Facilitator to support and accelerate multi-plant Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and continuous improvement initiatives across several manufacturing facilities. The role involves facilitating workshops, conducting root cause analysis, and engaging in structured problem-solving sessions to enhance the reliability processes across various plants.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment including furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, palletizers, and yard equipment.

  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and production needs by responding to equipment failures swiftly.

  • Facilitate workshops and structured problem-solving sessions.

  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and planning teams.

  • Work with consulting partners to replicate and scale reliability processes.

  • Conduct floor walk-throughs and validate technical understanding with plant personnel.

  • Maintain strong communication and continuity across on-site and remote work.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 10+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.

  • Strong background in reliability, maintenance, or continuous improvement.

  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM); inverted RCM is a plus.

  • Proficient in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong communication and facilitation abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) certification.

  • Experience in smelting or heavy industrial environments.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with 50% remote work and 50% travel between plants located in Bluffton, IN, Lordstown, OH, Shelbyville, KY, Franklin, KY, and Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $143520.00/yr.
