BAE Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Engineers to support manufacturing efforts at our Fort Wayne facility.
In this role, you will:
Ensure product compliance and conformance to the contract, design, drawing, parts list and and any other governing documentation.
Monitor and optimize product flow, reduce cost of poor quality, disposition non-conformances, and ensure on time delivery.
Maintain compliance to all aspects of Safety Proactively maintain a safe working environment.
Create, maintain and improve work instructions
Comply with audits
Promote a culture of 100% quality
Play an active role in assisting the team to meet quality objectives
Increase utilization of test equipment
Reduce inventory and maximize turnaround time
Provide direct feedback to build and design processes
Take part in ongoing collaboration regarding best practices and strategies
Identify and communicate training needs and skills gaps in the teams, carrying out training and coaching as necessary
Continuous improvement mindset is necessary.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelors degree required in technical field
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance
Problem solvers with continuous improvement mindset and self motivation needed
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Green Belt or Black Belt lean credential preferred
Lean manufacturing, RCCA/DMAIC/A3 experience preferred
Experience with Paperles MES is preferred
Experience with Enovia/Windchill/PLM for product configuration is preferred
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
