Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking two dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Fort Wayne. Our facility specializes in the production of milk, cottage cheese, and sour cream. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both preventive and reactive maintenance on various equipment and machinery within our plant.
Responsibilities
Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance on conveyors, palletizing/wrapping machines, bag sealers, filler machines, blow molds, and mixing machines.
Perform maintenance on label printers, pipes, valves, forklifts, and overall facilities.
Split duties approximately 50/50 between preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
Execute approximately 40% of work in electrical tasks and 60% in mechanical tasks.
Be available for on-call duties on Sundays as part of a rotating schedule, ensuring coverage and receiving 4 hours of overtime pay whether called in or not.
Essential Skills
Mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with mechanical equipment, gears, and bearings.
Basic electrical knowledge with a focus on 480-v and 3-phase motors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience with conveyor systems, particularly VFDs.
Own a set of hand and power tools.
Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
Familiarity with controls and servo systems is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position offers openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The 2nd shift runs from Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm, while the 3rd shift runs from Monday night to Friday night, 9pm to 5:30am. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a combination of mechanical and electrical tasks. Team members are expected to be on call on Sundays as part of a rotating schedule, with OT compensation for on-call duties.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
