Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Solutions DevOps Engineer/Architect to provide technical leadership across our AWS and Azure cloud platforms. In this pivotal role, you will architect, automate, and secure enterprise-level cloud infrastructure—driving best-in-class DevOps and operational practices for mission-critical SaaS applications. You’ll serve as the primary technical bridge between Software Development and SaaS Operations, ensuring end-to-end scalability, security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

• Architect and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments (AWS primary, Azure minimal)

• Lead modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native services

• Design resilient, multi-region solutions aligned with SLA, RPO, RTO requirements

• Establish and evolve cloud architecture standards and operational guardrails

DevOps, CI/CD & Automation

• Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab

• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) at scale using Terraform

• Automate provisioning, release orchestration, and environment management

• Integrate DevSecOps practices, including automated testing and security scanning

Advanced Networking & Connectivity

• Lead complex cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and segmentation (VPC/VNET, VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute)

• Architect network security: firewalls, security groups, zero-trust models, secure ingress/egress, DDoS protection

• Troubleshoot cross-cloud, cross-region, and hybrid environments

Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership

• Act as the technical liaison among Development, QA, Security, and SaaS Ops teams

• Translate business and application requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions

• Mentor and coach DevOps, Cloud Engineers, and Reliability Engineers

• Contribute to roadmap planning, tech evaluation, and architectural governance

Security, Compliance & Reliability

• Champion security-by-design and zero-trust principles

• Support compliance initiatives (SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, customer audits)

• Oversee IAM, secrets management, encryption, and SIEM integration

• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and automated incident response

Operational Excellence & Cost Governance

• Drive FinOps strategies including cloud cost optimization and chargeback

• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, disaster recovery, and documentation

• Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement of delivery metrics

  Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years in Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Networking, or DevOps

• 7+ years of hands-on AWS/Azure cloud architecture experience

• Proven expertise in enterprise networking (routing, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, hybrid connectivity)

• Mastery of AWS core services and Git/GitLab CI/CD

• Strong experience with Linux/Windows servers, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

• Demonstrated success bridging Development and SaaS Operations in production environments

• Strong background in reliability engineering and incident management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure core services (VMs, VNETs, App Services, AKS)

• Large-scale Terraform IaC

• Relevant certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Terraform, CCNP/CCIE)

• Experience in regulated SaaS (healthcare, financial, government)

• Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, and advanced observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus)

• FinOps and hybrid identity (AD, Azure AD, SSO, federation)
