Material/Process Inspector II:Performs material tests and manufacturing process inspections in laboratories, plants and/or at points of supply. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.Material/Process Inspector III:Performs complex material tests and manufacturing process inspections in laboratories, plants and/or at points of supply. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:Material/Process Inspector II:Reviews plans and material specifications for changes in material requirements.Conducts pavement evaluations in the field.Maintains and calibrates equipment.Secures, logs in prepared samples of raw materials or manufactured materials at various stages of productions for testing.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.Material/Process Inspector III:Maintains field record books for each construction project within assigned area office.Conducts pavement evaluations in the field.Handles material or production problems referred by less experienced inspectors.Maintains and calibrates equipment.Reviews plans and material specifications for changes in material requirements.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
