Akima Truck Driver Medium ISSA in Fort Sill, Oklahoma
Medium Truck Driver ISSA supports daily ISSA operations. This role involves transporting materials and equipment across the installation while maintaining strict safety and security standards.
Responsibilities
Operate medium‑duty trucks (<26,001 lbs GVWR) to transport materials, tools, and equipment
Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, and follow all DOT, OSHA, and installation safety rules
Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques
Coordinate with supervisor to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with general support tasks as assigned
Comply with installation access and security requirements
Stage, store, and inventory items in accordance with Army supply regulations
Maintain accurate records, logs, and system updates (GCSS‑Army, DPAS, LMP)
Assist with general support tasks and other duties assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid state driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation results, obtain and maintain a CAC.
Experience operating medium‑duty trucks preferred.
Forklift/MHE operation certification (OF 346) preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
