V2X Aircraft Logs & Records Technician - Flight School Next (FSN) in Fort Rucker, Alabama

This position is Contingent Upon Contract Award.

The Aircraft Logs and Records Technician maintains meticulous records of all aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining records of work completed, and managing digital and physical logbooks, work order documentation, and compliance information. Key responsibilities include transcribing data, performing data entry, conducting audits, managing maintenance tracking software, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate digital and physical logbooks for all aircraft.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

  • Transcribe maintenance data and perform accurate data entry.

  • Conduct audits of maintenance records and documentation.

  • Manage maintenance tracking software and update records.

  • Prepare compliance reports and summaries for management.

  • Organize and maintain work order documentation and compliance information.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance records or related field.

  • Proficiency in maintenance tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rotary-wing aircraft records management.

  • Prior work in a military or government aviation environment.

  • Familiarity with electronic logbook systems and auditing processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and customer service; able to coordinate across multiple teams.

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and documentation.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills; able to prioritize competing demands.

Certifications & Training

  • FAA regulatory / compliance training (preferred).

  • Production control / logistics certification (e.g., APICS / CPIM, or equivalent) desired.

  • OSHA 10 or Safety training (preferred).

  • HAZMAT / Shipping awareness (preferred), if applicable to parts movement.

Clearance Requirement

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance as required by the contract (Public Trust or Secret level, as applicable).

Work Conditions

  • Contingent upon contract award.

  • Primarily office / production-support setting with frequent interaction with maintenance and supply personnel.

  • May require occasional overtime, shift flexibility, and on-call support during surge periods.

  • Ability to sit / stand, lift up to 25 lbs., and move within hangar / maintenance environments safely.
