Matern Professional Engineering Plumbing Designer in Fort Myers, Florida
Matern Professional Engineering is looking for a Plumbing Designer/Engineer at its Fort Myers or Orlando-Maitland, FL office to be involved with design for commercial buildings, government facilities, and K-12 Schools.
The designer/engineer will perform plumbing design calculations and produce contract documents with isometric riser diagrams for sanitary and domestic water systems. They will conduct technical comparisons and other technical work as required; coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians; review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommend necessary changes; research code issues and work with City, State, and County officials, and research design options and document findings for engineers.
Must have working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD. Must be knowledgeable of NFPA codes and have familiarity with Word, Outlook and Excel. 2+ years experience and strong communication skills is preferred.
Candidate must be able to pass background checks, not limited to the Jessica Lunsford Act to be able to visit school sites and FBI for government buildings.
