Dairy Farmers Of Ame Master Maintenance Technician in Fort Morgan, Colorado

General Purpose:Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment within the facility. Perform required performance maintenance (PM's) as scheduled.Job Duties and Responsibilities:* Install, program, maintain, document, and troubleshoot programmable logic controls (PLC) and components* Plan and coordinate installation of electronic controls* Assist in training other maintenance staff as needed* Report daily to maintenance manager on the status of projects and repairs* Assist in regulatory tests of plant instrumentation and document results as required* Understand and monitor plant systems: HVAC, Compressed Air, electrical, glycol chillers, etc. * Provide capability in PM related activities* Document all work performed* Assist as needed on all types of maintenance calls throughout the plant* Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion* Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues* Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements* The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Minimum Requirements:Education and Experience* High school diploma, GED, or specialized trade school preferred* 3 years of maintenance experience, including experience with electronic controls and PLC units* 1 year of specialized training in PLC's or equivalent preferred* Certification and/or License - Forklift certification preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities* Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures* Able to use shop mathematics with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and various types of adjustable measuring instruments* Strong understanding of controls used in the plant and how they affect production* Knowledge of machine shop equipment* Able to troubleshoot problems* Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing* Able to follow directions and meet deadlines* Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision* Able to lead and instruct others on the proper and safe procedures* Must be able to read, write and speak English

Compensation Details:The starting rate is $30.00, but increases over time. This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, short term disability, 401k and flex spending/HSA benefits.
