Responsibilities Serves as the senior logistician and principal logistics advisor within the Logistics Management and Customer Services Branch. Coordinates logistics policy and supply, maintenance, distribution, and oversees logistic management operations. Exercises broad oversight and responsibility for all logistics matters and is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all logistics functions. Directs, controls, and monitors property management and equipment programs. Serves as a senior Property Custodian for the Logistics Management and Customer Services Branch. Reviews all policies, guidance, regulations, and directives relating to the control of maintenance and supply requirements necessary to accomplish the organization’s classified mobile device mission objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. For the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-12 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying logistics policies and regulations to solve logistical issues related to supply or property accountability; and conducting analysis on logistics support and readiness programs to support planning and policy development. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, AND specialized experience 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. Education There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level. Additional Information A one year probationary or trial period may be required.
