BURNCO Colorado LLC Equipment Operator in Fort Lupton, Colorado
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to safely operate heavy equipment required to facilitate plant production.
EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Advanced heavy equipment operating skills including but not limited to: Loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Motor Graders, Haul Trucks, etc.
- Load aggregate material onto haul trucks
- Dirt moving and/or stripping when needed
- Inspect, fuel, grease, and refill fluids on equipment as needed.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment, complete minor equipment maintenance, report safety issues.
- Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements
- Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed
- Follow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Broad knowledge of operating heavy equipment
- Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
- Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in aggregate required
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
- Locally up to 50% - as needed
